Dr. Stewart & Philippa Mason; if you thought their surnames were very similar, your powers of deduction would be right! They both went to London University to become vets and managed to pick up a spouse on the way (each other, obviously!), graduating in 2000. After 3 years of working in Pommy-land, they decided a bit of decent weather was in order and decided to come “down under” in mid-2003.
Stewart has worked for this practice since the start, with a one year break to work at the Adelaide Animal Emergency Centre in the middle, but it took Philippa a little while to see the light and come to work
for Dr. Ron Baker in 2005.
In the time they’ve been in Adelaide, they’ve worked very hard, popping out 3 children; Henry, Elspeth & Isabella. The extended family includes a lovely Labrador, Sirius Black (we love Harry Potter!) 3 rescued kittens Pumpkin,Eric & Hecate and Strudel & Custard (rescue rabbit & guinea pig).
With not much time to spare, other interests include going to the gym, travelling and
(very!) gradually renovating their house.
Stewie is our surgery buff, offering reconstructive surgeries, a wide variety of orthopaedic procedures and has a good range of experience in the emergency field of veterinary medicine.
Philippa enjoys the medicine side of things and has a special interest in rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats (having owned huge numbers as a nipper) and neurology.

Dr. Emma Kennare; Our newest veterinarian to join our practice. Having graduated from Murdoch University in 2005, she has gained valuable experience working extensively at the Anzac Highway Emergency Centre as well as in many small animal practices throughout Australia. She loves all types of animals, and shares her home with a large number of pets ranging from her 60kg Newfoundland Annie, to her short neck tortoise, Hamish.
